Julie Derosett, Director of Nursing, has been on our Wesley Village nursing team since 2011. She started at the Village part-time, working every other weekend as a floor nurse, initially telling everyone she was “just temporary till she found 'something better.'” Before long she stopped looking, as she now believes there is nothing better than serving the residents at Wesley Village!

In addition to all her nursing responsibilities, Julie has often taken on the role of resident driver, shopper, housekeeper, even cook and server when other staff members were not available to carry out those vital tasks. Julie’s attitude is always “do what needs to be done and don’t complain.”  No one works harder, yet she always has a smile, lifting the spirits of all around her.  She’s a master of conflict resolution and a shining example of what a true servant leader should be.

Wesley Village Medical Director Dr. Ralph Alvarado commends Julie for her “unwavering commitment to patient well-being… her compassion and expertise making a significant impact in the lives of those she serves.”  Glenda says, “she’s simply the best!”
