Wilmore, Kentucky

Celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026, the City of Wilmore has been named "nicest place in Kentucky" by Reader’s Digest, and has been rated one of the safest cities in Kentucky in FBI rankings. As Mayor Harold Rainwater points out, Wilmore and Wesley Village have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship ever since our opening in 1995.

"It's a safety for me. It's always good to come back here, to the quietness of this place - I love the country setting. I love Wilmore. It's a beautiful walk; we've got hills, we've got nature all around us, and it's just wonderful. I never thought I would, but I love Kentucky."

Every year, Wesley Village proudly hosts a guest storyteller as part of Wilmore's More Tales Storytelling Festival, "bringing Appalachia to the Bluegrass."

Wesley Village welcomes parades from the City of Wilmore, which march and ride through the Village to greet our residents and salute our Veterans for Memorial Day, July 4th, and Veterans' Day.

We are so grateful to our Wilmore first responders and utility workers! Every November, Wesley Village hosts a special luncheon to thank them for their vital services to us.
